This present study was done to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on adverse effects of on line game addiction among school children in selected school. One group pre-test, post test design was adopted. A total of 30 students belong to the age group of 10-16 years were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Pre-test knowledge level was assessed by the knowledge questionnaire, structured teaching programme was given on the adverse effects of online game addiction and post test was done after one week. Knowledge level was scaled as inadequate level knowledge (0-10), moderate level knowledge (11-20), inadequate level knowledge (21-30). The research findings revealed that, in pre test maximum number of samples 21(70%) had inadequate knowledge, 6(20%) had moderate level knowledge and only 3(10%) samples had adequate level knowledge, but in post test most of the samples 25(83%) samples 0had adequate level knowledge, 5(17%) samples had moderately adequate knowledge and none of them had inadequate knowledge. The mean score of post test knowledge was 23.4 [SD 3.46] is higher than the pre-test mean score 13.8 [SD 3.43] the obtained ‘t’ value is 12.28, which is significant at P<0.05 level. The result also revealed that there is a significant association between post test level of knowledge and religion.
This paper examines the emotional intelligence and decision-making of nurses. A correlational descriptive design of 88 nurses in a tertiary hospital participated in the study using a convenience sampling. Pearson Chi square, Independent T test was applied in the study. Majority of nurses ranges from 20-25 years old, female, single, and ranked as nurse II in the nursing hierarchy. Majority of nurses have permanent employment status, assigned in the surgical wards and reported 6 to 10 average number of patient workload per day. Nurses' level of emotional intelligence is generally high (M=2.90±0.15) and level of decision-making skills is fairly low (M=2.43±0.60). The profile on highest educational attainment (p=0.042) and employment status (p=0.042) of nurses is significantly associated to decision-making skills. There is a negligible correlation between emotional intelligence and decision-making of nurses (r=0.034, p=0.755). A significant difference exists between levels of decision-making skills (F-value=6.209, p=0.003) and rank status of nurses.

Stress lowers sexual and marital adjustment and isolation compared to men. The couple's search for a solution and acceptance of the testing and therapy procedures is aided by acknowledging these deep feelings. The investigator used pre experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test 60 women who fulfilled the criteria were selected by using Purposive sampling technique and knowledge questionnaries and data was gathered before and after a systematic instruction programme. The overall calculated ‘t’ value was *13.17 when compared to the table value (2) was found to be high and it is significant at 0.05 level.
Statement of the Problem: A study to assess the effectiveness of foot zone therapy on level of post-operative pain, sleep and bowel pattern among patients with selected abdominal surgery at Ashwin hospital, Coimbatore. Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of zone therapy on post operative pain among patients with selected abdominal surgery in experimental and control group. To evaluate the effectiveness of zone therapy on post operative sleep among patients with selected abdominal surgery in experimental and control group. To evaluate the effectiveness of zone therapy on post operative bowel pattern among patients with selected abdominal surgery in experimental group. To determine the correlation between the post operative pain, sleep and bowel pattern among patients with selected abdominal surgery before and after zone therapy in experimental group. To determine the association between the post operative pain, sleep and bowel pattern among patients with selected abdominal surgery with their demographic variables in experimental group. Methodology: Pre-test post-test Control Group design and post test only control group design as subtypes of Quasi Experimental Research design was adopted for assessing the effectiveness of zone therapy on the level of post operative pain, sleep and bowel pattern among patients with abdominal surgery. The selected sample size was 40, out of which 20 belong to experimental group and 20 belong to control group, selected by non probability convenient sampling technique. Results: Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the values. The obtained ‘t’ value for the level of post operative pain, sleep and bowel pattern after performing zone therapy were 31.57, 60.05 and 13.94. Conclusion: The zone therapy has significant effect in level of post operative pain, sleep and bowel pattern among selected abdominal surgery patients.

Samples were selected using non-probability convenient sampling in Sree Abirami Hospital at Coimbatore. Intervention: cold application for 15-20 minutes to reduce levels of pain throughout chest tube removal. Tools: Standardized Visual analogue pain rating scale was used to assess the levels of pain throughout chest tube removal. Results: Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were to analyze collected data. Using paired’t’ effect of cold application on pain throughout chest tube removal was assessed.(t= 10.5 respectively<0.05). Conclusion: Cold application was effective in reducing the stages of pain between patients following CABG during chest tube removal.
Ethical values and standards are central to nursing profession, and they are considered as the basis of caring relationship between nurses and clients. Continuous exposure to ethical dilemmas had detrimental impact on nurse clinicians and might contribute to nurse-client conflict. This study aimed to explore the relationship between the Jordanian nurses’ perceptions of ethical issues and exposure to the workplace violence from clients and/or relatives. A cross-sectional descriptive design was used in this study. Data were collected through electronic survey questionnaires from 181 nurse clinicians from eight Jordanian hospitals. Arabic version of Ethical Issues Scale (EIS) was used to collect data related to perceptions of ethical issues among study participants. The results showed that about 80.7% of participants were exposed to workplace violence. Nurses who were exposed to workplace violence scored significantly higher on EIS than nurses who were not.
